Tim White is the Associate Director of Research of the Center for National Security Initiatives.聽 Tim also serves as the Gallogly Professor of Engineering in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the 澳门开奖结果2023开奖记录.聽 Tim received his PhD in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering in 2006 from the University of Iowa.聽 Thereafter, Tim spent twelve years working for the U.S. Air Force in the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory.聽 At AFRL, Tim served in a variety of capacities including group lead, team lead, and technology advisor seeking materials solutions spanning basic (6.1), applied (6.2), and developmental (6.3) research.聽 Tim is certified Level III by the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) as both a Systems Engineer and in Science and Technology Management.聽
Tim joined the faculty at the 澳门开奖结果2023开奖记录 in 2018 as the inaugural Gallogly Professor of Engineering.聽 Tim leads the 鈥淩esponsive and Programmable Materials鈥� Group (/research/rpmgroup/), pursuing research generally focused on programming functional responses in organized materials.聽 Prof. White has published nearly 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals.聽 Dr. White is a Senior Member of the SPIE and has been honored with the 2019聽Soft Matter聽Lectureship,聽 2016 Materials Research Society 鈥淥utstanding Young Investigator鈥� award, the 2013 SPIE Early Career Achievement award, the 2013 American Chemical Society PMSE Division Award for 鈥淐ooperative Research in Applied Polymer Science鈥�, and the 2012 Air Force Early Career Award.聽
