Kristen received BS degrees in Biochemistry, Psychology, Chemistry and Biological Sciences from the University of Missouri in 2014. She was听rostered in the Department of听Biochemistry and was听co-advised by Dr. William Old and Dr. Xuedong Liu.听Kristen鈥檚 first lab rotation was with Dr. William Old (Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology). She did her second lab rotation with Dr. Lozupone and her third lab rotation with Dr. Detweiler (Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology). Kristen's research interests are the human microbiome, inflammatory responses, bacterial pathogenesis, quorum sensing, genome sequencing, proteomics, autophagy and receptor design. She left the IQ Biology program in 2015.
