Dr. Leah Pe帽a Teeters is the Outreach and Education Director. Leah came to the听Crown听Institute听out of a desire to be a part of systematic work towards creating more compassionate, humanizing, and just communities. She received her听undergraduate听degree in history and her Master's in Educational Equity and Cultural Diversity with endorsements in Special Education and Linguistically Diverse Education. She taught history in Central Mexico and English Language Development in rural听Colorado. She earned her doctorate in Learning Sciences and Human Development from the University of听Colorado听Boulder. Dr. Teeters completed a medical听fellowship in translational and clinical听research听in the Department of Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University.听Her work in the听Crown听Institute听focuses on听bringing rigorous and collaborative听research听into action and practice.听
