Successful ABET Accreditation Site Visit
From Saturday through Tuesday last week, a team of ABET evaluators visited the engineering programs at °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û2023¿ª½±¼Ç¼ and the partnership programs at Colorado Mesa University and Western Colorado University. While the official outcomes of the accreditation process will only be known in Summer 2024, the preliminary review report is very positive for all the 15 programs, with only minor adjustments needed. This includes four new programs: Biomedical Engineering at °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û2023¿ª½±¼Ç¼, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science at Western Colorado University, and Electrical and Computer Engineering at Colorado Mesa University.
The Engineering College would like to congratulate all programs on this excellent result and thank all faculty and staff who contributed to this success. A special thank you goes to Vanessa Dunn, the College’s Director of Analytics, Assessment and Accreditation. Vanessa who did an exceptional job coordinating the efforts of the programs at °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û2023¿ª½±¼Ç¼ and the partnership programs and communicating with the ABET evaluations team.
