Our Strategic Objectives (2024-2029)
The BOLD Center primarily serves undergraduate engineering students who have a BOLD or partner-affiliated scholarship and members of a BOLD affinity-based student society.Ìý
In the next five years, we will:
« BOLD will offer academic opportunities for scholarship students and active student society members to enrich the student experience and promote student success.ÌýÌý
«ÌýBOLD will assess student sense of inclusiveness and belonging through its scholarship programs while engaging student societies and alumni in BOLD through its programming.ÌýÌý
«ÌýBOLD will expand scholarship opportunities to alleviate students’ financial burden and strengthen industry partnerships enhancing student success among diverse engineers.Ìý
«ÌýBOLD will identify, promote and incentivize research opportunities to support students’ co-curricular opportunity options.ÌýÌý
«ÌýBOLD will implement a leadership competency model outlining core skills and create learning opportunities through seminars, retreats and workshops that prepare students for successful careers in industry and research.ÌýÌýÌý
«ÌýBOLD will develop a comprehensive internship support program for second to fourth-year students and host networking events for BOLD students to connect with industry organizations.ÌýÌý
«ÌýBOLD will address retention barriers for underrepresented engineering students through data-driven interventions and academic support in core mathematics courses to tackle systemic inequities.Ìý
«ÌýBOLD will advance its mission through fostering strong communication, developing interculturally responsive staff, enhancing community partnership and recognizing strategic leadership and growth.
