Biography

Amanda Carrico is听an interdisciplinary environmental social scientist with an interest in the behavioral dimensions of environmental conservation and adaptation to environmental change. Dr. Carrico draws on mixed methods from the fields of psychology (home discipline), sociology, demography, and economics with a focus on quantitative methods. Her current projects are exploring how environmental stress shape migration and processes of adaptation to water scarcity in agricultural communities. Currently, her research work is situated in the听United States, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. 听
