Receipts from Amazon, etc. must show 鈥淯niversity of Colorado鈥� as either a billing or shipping address.听 (Okay to have items shipped to home, just make sure the billing address shows 鈥淯niversity of Colorado鈥� 鈥� you can use the department address as the billing address.)听
As of February 1, 2016, the state of Colorado is charging tax on all Amazon purchases.听 You should set up your CU Amazon account as tax exempt.听 You should still check your order prior to placing it as some of the smaller/more obscure vendors that Amazon does not 鈥渇ulfill鈥� may not automatically recognize your tax exempt status. 听In order to set up your own account as tax exempt, follow the steps below.听 Note:听 I don鈥檛 think their system will allow you to have some purchases be tax exempt and others not, so if you make both personal and business purchases, you might want to create two accounts.

1. 听Log into your Amazon.com account
2. 听Scroll down to 鈥淪ettings鈥�
3. 听Go to 鈥淎mazon Tax Exemption Program鈥�
4. 听Select Get Started
5. 听Select Colorado
6. 听Select Educational, then Continue
7. 听Fill in the certificate with 鈥湴拿趴苯峁�2023开奖记录鈥�, then 鈥淯niversity鈥�, use our campus box and address, then include yourself as the certificate signer, along with title (faculty is fine)
8. 听You must include the last four numbers of your Driver鈥檚 License 鈥� as well as the state (they say this is to avoid fraudulent tax exemption requests)
9. 听They also require your phone number 鈥� University line is fine - (You MUST use the dashes in between, for example 303-492-2632)
10. 听Select 鈥淐olorado Tax Exemption鈥�
11. 听Include the Tax Exempt Number printed on the card 鈥� mine is 98-02565 鈥� I believe yours is the same.
12. 听Select that you are using a 鈥淧urchasing Card鈥�
13. 听Review the information
14. 听Sign your name via mouse
15. 听Accept the terms. 听
