Fully online, flexible courses (i.e. course work completed on your own time) paired with real-time summer intensives where instructors and students meet at the same time virtually.

Important Program Updates
In order to provide a new pathway that offers federal financial aid to master’s students, we are transitioning our program to a new structure and registration system this summer. As a result of the transition, there are some important updates and deadlines to keep in mind.ÌýÌý
New Program Structure
In the past, all of our students have been able to enroll in courses any time and had six months from the time they enrolled to complete their coursework. After the program structure transition, students willÌýbe able to choose from two new program pathways.Ìý
Under the new structure, students on the Certificate Pathway will have similar asynchronous and 6-month deadlines for their courses as they did with the past program structure. While studentsÌýon the Master’s Degree Pathway must now enroll for all courses they plan to take before each semester’s start date and must complete the coursework before the semester ends. With this change, students will now be able to enroll in two sequential courses within the same certificate (4 credits) at once. For example, you may now enroll in both EDUA 5000 and EDUA 5001 before August 26, 2024 and will need to complete both courses by end of term on December 12, 2024.
New Program Pathways
Graduate Certificate Pathway
Students can choose to take classes and separately complete certificates independent fromÌýtraditional semesters without enrolling in the full Master’s program.
Students enrolled in theÌýCertificate Pathway:
- may enroll starting on August 12 and have six months to complete coursework from the time they enroll (This is exactly as Teacher Leadership courses have run historically);
- may enroll any time for maximum flexibility;
- may transfer up to 24 credits to the Master of Arts in Teacher Leadership program; and
- remain ineligible for federal financial aid.
Master's Degree Pathway
The MA in Teacher Leadership degree requires completion of any three teacher leadership certificates. Master's Pathway students must complete their courses within traditional semesters.Ìý
Students enrolled in the Master’s Pathway:
- may enroll starting on August 12 and begin coursework on August 26;Ìý
- must complete coursework within a semester’s four-month timeframe ( i.e., courses will run August 26 - December 12, 2024, however you may still complete core coursework asynchronously);
- may begin as a certificate student and transfer to the master’s program for their last 6 credits; and
- may qualify for federal financial aid if enrolled in at least 3 credits per semester (two 2 credit courses or one 4 credit capstone course).
