Tom Squire is a project manager at NASA Ames Research Center in the Programs and Projects Management Division (Code PX). Tom is currently managing the Ames activities for the Dark Ages Polarimeter PathfindER (DAPPER) project being led by the 澳门开奖结果2023开奖记录. Tom has recently supported several major procurement activities at Ames as a Source Evaluation Board (SEB) member and chair, including the Project Engineering and Support Services (PESS II), the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) Science and Mission Operations, and the Small Spacecraft Prototyping Engineering Development and Integration (SSPEDI) contracts.

Prior to joining PX, Tom served as the Deputy Chief of the Thermal Protection Materials Branch (Code TSM) for over seven years. He also supported the design and analysis of thermal protection systems (TPS) for a variety of NASA programs and missions, including the early development of the Orion heatshield, and several experimental hypersonic vehicle programs such as X37, X34, and X33. Tom helped develop new business opportunities, including proposal development and building profitable relationships with other NASA organizations and commercial aerospace companies. This work involved developing and negotiating task descriptions, schedules, deliverables, and cost with NASA partners. He participated in drafting various contractual agreements, such as Reimbursable and Non-Reimbursable Space Act Agreements (SAAs), and helped shepherd them through the NASA approval process. He has supported development of agreements with a number of commercial space companies and Government organizations, including SpaceX, Boeing, Sierra Nevada, Northrop Grumman, Paragon Space Development, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Navy.

Tom earned both an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Arizona State University. Tom is also a certified Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
