Clint Carroll is an Associate Professor of Native American and聽Indigenous Studies in the Department of Ethnic聽Studies at the University of聽Colorado Boulder. A citizen of the Cherokee Nation, he works at the聽intersections of聽Indigenous studies, anthropology, and political ecology, with聽an emphasis on Cherokee environmental聽governance and land-based resurgence. Currently,聽he is working on a five-year, NSF-funded integrated education聽and聽community-based research project that investigates Cherokee access to wild plants聽in northeastern Oklahoma聽amid shifting climate conditions and land ownership聽patterns. Professor Carroll鈥檚 research aims to inform聽advancements in聽community-based local ecosystem management and tribal land conservation聽strategies.聽
