Welcome to Drone Flight School! At D.F.S., you and your team will be put in charge of our fleet of code-able drones. First up is pilot training, during which you will learn how to control the drones with the controller as well as with drag-and-drop coding. After pilot training, you'll get a chance to learn more about what these drones can do. From making decisions without input, avoiding obstacles, and knowing where they have landed using color-sensing technology, you'll begin to design and carry out missions ranging from navigating a city scape to search and rescue. Come join us for D.F.S. 鈥� no flight experience necessary! Three drones will be utilized throughout this class: Robolink's CoDrone EDU, the SYMA X5SW, and the DJI聽Mini 2.聽

What to Bring:

  • Backpack for carrying personal items and any class materials they will be taking home.聽
  • Filled water bottle
  • 2 or more聽snacks, depending on the child's needs
  • Lunch that does not require refrigeration聽
  • All programs spend a portion of each session outside. Please send your child with clothing appropriate for the weather (jacket, sweatshirt and/or rain jacket)
  • OPTIONAL:聽A mask or any additional Personal Protective Equipment the child will be utilizing.

鈥�Grade Policy:聽Careful consideration is used to determine grade levels for all camps and classes. To provide the highest quality experience for all students, it is necessary to adhere to the specified grade range for this program.

Cancellation and Transfer Policy:聽Science Discovery has designed its school year cancellation policy to minimize the number of class聽spots that are unused due to last-minute cancellations. Cancellations made more than 15聽days prior to the start of the class will incur a $35 administrative fee. No聽refunds will be given for cancellations made within 15 days of the start of the class. In the event that a class聽is cancelled by Science Discovery, registrants will receive a full refund.聽Transfer requests made up to 15 days prior to the start of a class will incur a $15聽administrative聽fee. Transfer requests made within 15聽days of the the start of a class will incur a $35 administrative fee.
