Dear Strategic Resources and Support team,
I was grateful to see such a large turnout for our first 鈥淐hat with Pat鈥 session on Nov. 2, and look forward to the next one in the spring. For those who were there or who have heard me speak at one of your unit鈥檚 all-staff meetings recently, you know that employee health and wellness is a major focus of mine.
In fact, it was the primary driver for the chancellor, provost and I to grant three additional days of administrative leave around the upcoming holidays. These additional days off should not be viewed as downtime for catching up on work. Rather, I hope each of you truly disengages from your work to focus on yourself and your loved ones. Sustaining the great work you all do in support of this university鈥檚 mission requires that all of us are intentional about focusing on our own well-being.

- Saying goodbye: Just as we welcomed new leadership members to our team last month, this month we say a bittersweet goodbye as former Chief Financial Officer Carla Ho鈥檃 officially retires. We鈥檒l miss her expertise and leadership, and we all wish her well on her next chapter!聽
With gratitude,
Pat
