The Jewish High Holidays are a time when people gather together to reflect on their lives, engage in teshuvah (repentance), and vow to do better. 听But are people the only ones called to repent? 听Does God also make mistakes? 听If so, does God have to repent? 听As the Jewish High Holiday season approaches, Professor Sacks鈥� talk will explore ancient and modern views on these questions, asking whether God, too, has regrets and should be engaging in repentance.

Professor Sacks鈥� talk is generously hosted by community partner Aspen Jewish Congregation and is part of the 澳门开奖结果2023开奖记录 Peak to Peak Lecture Series. This series brings 澳门开奖结果2023开奖记录 humanities scholars to communities around Colorado to share innovative perspectives on historical figures, events and world views. It is offered through the Program in Jewish Studies, a non-religious academic program that explores Jewish culture, history and society, in partnership with the 澳门开奖结果2023开奖记录 Office for Outreach and Engagement鈥檚 Arts and Humanities Initiative.
