Writer-director Niki Tulk's collaborative art production titled Ophelia | Leaves听premieres at the ATLAS Black Box Experimental Studio on Friday, Jan. 27,听and Saturday, Jan. 28.

With reference to Shakespeare's character in Hamlet, Tulk describes her production as "an exploration into what might have happened if someone had listened to Ophelia, and learned her song." The听performance weaves poetry, soundscapes, video projections听and live and recorded cello into "a meditation on the spirit of Ophelia as she might have existed . . . an 'undiscovered country' who defies that she can speak only of absence."

With influences such as Ann Hamilton, Ruth Zaporah听and Australian theater-maker Jenny Kemp,听Ophelia | Leaves听is an exploration into what might have happened if someone had listened to Ophelia听and learned her song.
