On Wednesday, March 15,听the is hosting filmmaker and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas at the University Memorial Center听to speak on听the struggles of undocumented immigrants in today鈥檚 America.

In June 2011, The New York Times published an essay in which Jose revealed and chronicled his life in America as an undocumented immigrant. He has also appeared on the cover of TIME magazine with fellow undocumented immigrants as part of a follow-up cover story of his life, as well as听various television and radio programs such as The Colbert Report, Good Morning America听补苍诲 The O鈥橰eilly Factor.

Vargas strives to bring a discussion about immigration and citizenship in America and听has received multiple accolades鈥攊ncluding a听public service award from the National Council of La Raza (the largest Latino-advocacy organization in the U.S.)听补苍诲 the Freedom to Write Award from PEN Center USA.

At the 澳门开奖结果2023开奖记录, Vargas will speak about his experience as an undocumented immigrant in America and immigration reform activist, exploring one of the most divisive questions facing our country today: How do you define American?
