Your 20s are often as exciting as they are paralyzing. With your whole life ahead of you, it can be difficult to decide what you want and how to get there. This semester, ASSETT (Arts and Sciences Support of Education Through Technology) will lead a book club meant to break down common misconceptions about your 20s while encouraging participants to take action in their post-graduation careers, relationships and health.

Based on the book by psychologist Meg Jay, the virtual book club (held via Zoom) offers a place for participants to discuss the book and their experiences, while connecting other students in similar places in life.

As students make their way in an uncertain world, ASSETT hopes to bring community and clarity to participants kicking off their young-adult lives.

The nitty-gritty

This is a relatively low-commitment book club, but听participants are strongly encouraged to show up to virtual meetings, since that is where most of the in-depth discussions will occur. ASSETT will provide ebook copies to all members.

If you are interested in participating, please email samuel.kindick@colorado.edu听by Sept. 14 with your name and contact information. Since the club is听providing ebooks, space is limited, and they cannot guarantee spots for participants after this date. Open to all undergraduates in the College of Arts and Sciences.

ASSETT stands for Arts and Sciences Support of Education Through Technology. They are the intersection of pedagogy and technology, with the goal of using modern tech for impactful learning and student success. This is the second student support book club run by ASSETT. The spring 2020 book club听focused on the book Designing Your Life.
