CU has a proud history at the Olympics, with more than 100 student-athletes and alumni representing teams through the years. The Olympic Winter Games in Beijing are a continuation of the tradition. Buffs competing in the games included:听Alvar Alev in cross-country skiing, Stacy Gaskill in snowboarding, Taylor Gold in the snowboard halfpipe, Cass Gray in alpine skiing, Petra Hyncicova in Nordic skiing, Weronika Kaleta in Nordic skiing,听Madgalena Luczak in alpine skiing听and听Joanne Reid听in biathlon.
