Immerse yourself in conservation biology from the comfort of your home and earn four credits in two and a half weeks in this virtual Global Seminar. Learn about Brazil's other tropical forest—the Atlantic Forest, a threatened center of faunal and floral biodiversity. Participate in individual and group projects related to on-going, fully operational wildlife and landscape conservation programs, coupled with socioeconomic development. Daily synchronous class sessions will connect you with IPÊ's research programs in the Pontal do Paranapanema region of western São Paulo state, Iguaçu Falls National Park (Brazil), and other sites throughout Brazil. Guest lecturers will be IPÊ research scientists and government environmental agency personnel.
