Numerous °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û2023¿ª½±¼Ç¼ graduate-level programs landed in the top 20 in the newly released 2024 U.S. News & World Report rankings.

U.S. News does not update its rankings for every program each year. In the publication’s 2024 issue, °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û2023¿ª½±¼Ç¼ maintains previous rankings or has taken new positions in a number of disciplines.

Atomic/molecular/optical physics ranksÌýthe highest, coming in at No. 4 in the nation. That’s among all schools—bothÌýpublic and private. Other °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û2023¿ª½±¼Ç¼ graduate programs ranking in the top 10 nationally include: geology (7); aerospace/aeronautical/astronautical engineering (8); physical chemistry (8); and clinical psychology (10).

Programs ranking in the top 20 were: quantum physics (11); psychology (12); condensed matter physics (13); Earth science (14); audiology (14); secondary teacher education (15); civil engineering (16); chemical engineering (17); environmental/environmental health engineering (17); physics (17); sociology of population (17); engineering (19); and speech-language pathology (20).
