Welcome to November! We are officially past the midpoint of the semester, and fall break is just around the corner. There are a ton of fun events coming up this month including gaming tournaments at The Connection, resume and professional help, self-care tips, DIY Nights, free Rec classes and more.

CU on the Weekend: 鈥楧efining Beer in the Ancient World鈥

鈥楤ridging Worlds: A Sherpa鈥檚 Story鈥

In 鈥淏ridging Worlds,鈥 Pemba Sherpa offers his unique perspective on the contrasting worlds of Nepal and the U.S. In his lifetime, he went from living in a Nepalese village to becoming an accomplished businessman. Afterward, Pemba and his co-author will be doing a book signing.听

Join the CU Symphony Orchestra for the 鈥淕aelic Symphony鈥 by听Amy Beach,听the first American woman to compose and publish a symphony. The featured soloist will be Dawna Rae Warren, winner of the graduate division of the Honors Competition, singing Richard Strauss鈥 beautiful Brentano Lieder, Op. 68. The program will begin with Franz Schubert鈥檚 elegant Overture in the Italian Style in C major.
