LASP researcher Tom Woods has been awarded the prestigious NASA Outstanding Public Leadership Medal for his leading role in establishing the use of CubeSats for science missions.

The Ecological Society of America has recognized Mike Gil, a marine biologist and °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û2023¿ª½±¼Ç¼ assistant professor, for making outstanding contributions to his field.

°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û2023¿ª½±¼Ç¼ prohibits faculty, postdocs, staff and students from participating in efforts by foreign governments to recruit science and technology professionals or students with the intent to acquire resources to further their military and economic goals.

On May 9, °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û2023¿ª½±¼Ç¼ presented more than 9,400 degrees during a cloudy yet joyous outdoor ceremony, including an address by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. Many of the graduates entered their college careers in the throes of COVID and were deprived of high school graduation celebrations.

This summer, °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û2023¿ª½±¼Ç¼’s International English Center will welcome its second cohort of international Fulbright scholars bound for graduate studies at U.S. universities for a month-long program of academic skills and cultural orientation.
