Internationally renowned future-of-work strategist Heather McGowan will speak on higher education challenges, followed by a panel discussion with the leaders of °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û2023¿ª½±¼Ç¼’s strategic initiatives on how Academic Futures priorities are advancing our commitment to furthering the public good.

Russell Moore and Kelly Fox today announced they are accepting the recommendations of the Academic Futures-Financial Futures Online Strategy Working Group to create a single coherent online and distance organization to serve the campus.

Academic Futures recommended a comprehensive approach to teaching with technology and reimagining online and distance education as one of four lead projects.

Interdisciplinary teaching, research and creative work have long been expressed values of the faculty, strong desires of generations of students and exciting challenges to staff.

Learn more about projects including governance; campus success; what it means to be a public university; sustaining, supporting and inspiring our community; and internationalizing the campus.

Later this month, the university will announce the structure of its Center for Teaching and Learning, which will be a combined resource for all who have a teaching role on campus.

As °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û2023¿ª½±¼Ç¼ enters into year three of the Academic Futures initiative, our implementation begins in earnest. Campus will experience the integration of our strategic initiatives into Academic Futures’ projects and themes.

Financial Futures will continue its focus in fall 2019 on supporting and enhancing the mission of °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û2023¿ª½±¼Ç¼ through strategic financial alignment.

The IDEA plan is currently under final administrative review by senior campus leadership, who will meet this month with the authoring committee to discuss recommendations and their implementation.
