John Brozovsky (DBA), professor of accounting and information systems in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech, was reappointed the Wayne E. Leininger Faculty Fellow in accounting and information systems. John joined the Virginia Tech faculty in 1989. He has published 25 peer-reviewed journal articles, one book and two book chapters.

Photographer Dorie Hagler (PolSci) produced a 鈥淗umans of New York鈥- like campaign in New York City that focuses on women鈥檚 stories and uses them to fight for equality. To promote her campaign, called Me&EVE, Dorie held events on Mother鈥檚 Day, Equal Pay Day and at the start of Women鈥檚 History Month. She believes that by giving women a platform to share their stories, her campaign can be a catalyst for change in the equal rights fight.

James has been with the department for two years as its chief of investigations following 12 years as an administrator and police chief of Milliken, where he helped lead the town鈥檚 response to the 2013 floods.

Publications around the world have featured聽Michael Rieger鈥檚 (Art) images of catastrophes, including the 9/11 attacks, Hurricane Katrina and more than 30 other global disasters. His work also has been shown in galleries and museums throughout the U.S. and is part of the Smithsonian鈥檚 Photographic History Archives. He took a break from his normal style with his latest book, Inspiration Exists 鈥 A Working Meditation, a year-long photo-a-day project.

Writer and filmmaker聽Shane Kuhn聽(Psych), author of The Intern鈥檚 Handbook, is releasing the second book in his John Lago assassin series, Hostile Takeover, on July 14. The New York Post called The Intern鈥檚 Handbook, which is expected to become a feature film from Sony Pictures starring Dave Franco, 鈥渁 sexy, darkly comic thriller.鈥 Shane and his family split their time among Massachusetts, Colorado and California.

Paul Zaidins聽(Acct) and Sharon Morris Zaidins (Fin鈥88) were part of a group that acquired DataSpan, a Dallas-based provider of data storage, protection, data center infrastructure and wireless communication solutions. Paul was named chairman of the company鈥檚 board and is also the founder and managing partner. Sharon is managing director of BoneFish Capital, which sourced, negotiated and arranged financing for the transaction. The couple lives in Coppell, Texas.

Katerina A. Anadiotis聽(Engl, Fren鈥90, Law鈥93) has published two bilingual books,聽Justina Ford, Baby Doctor/Justina Ford, La doctora de los beb茅s听补苍诲听The Five Senses/Los 5 sentidos. Her hope is that the books will help expand resources for children and teachers in bilingual, Spanish-immersion and dual-language classrooms. CU-Boulder professor聽Roger Pielke Jr.聽(Math鈥90, MPolSci鈥92, PhD鈥94) was hired as a contributing writer. Although the environmental studies professor specializes in climate topics, his writing covers many different subjects. Roger lives in Boulder.

Penn State University physics professor聽Kurt Gibble聽(PhDPhys鈥90) received the 2013 European Frequency and Time Award for his research on the atomic clocks that keep international time. Kurt began his career as a research associate at Stanford University. He also worked as assistant professor and associate professor at Yale University. Kurt lives in State College, Pa., and joined the Penn State faculty in 2001.

In March聽Caroline Eader聽(EPOBio鈥90) and the home she is wishing to restore appeared in the聽Daily Camera聽as she plans to relocate the 1,800-square-foot historic bungalow from the Grandview neighborhood to a property in Chautauqua in Boulder. The house is one of three on Grandview that CU-Boulder planned to demolish but decided to award to anyone who would relocate them. Caroline lives in Boulder.

Bradshaw International president聽Brett Bradshaw聽(IntlAf鈥90) was elected to the board of directors of the International Housewares Association, the full-service trade association for the housewares industry. Bradshaw International is a leading supplier of kitchen tools, baking items and cookware. Brett joined his family-owned company in 1994 after serving as an account manager for Nestle from 1990-93. He, his wife and their two sons live in Laguna Beach, Calif.

Emmy Award-winning adventure filmmaker聽Michael Brown聽(Geog鈥90) received the 2012 George Norlin Award from the university in recognition of his commitment to excellence in his work and devotion to the betterment of society. He presented his work to students, alumni and friends who attended the Back to Boulder Luncheon Nov. 2 in the UMC. His 2003 documentary聽Farther than the Eye Can See聽followed Golden-based blind climber Erik Weihenmayer鈥檚 venture up Mount Everest along with guide聽Jeff Evans聽(Anth鈥94). Michael and his wife and child live in Boulder.

He works as a compliance analyst with Bluegrass Family Health, a nonprofit health insurer where he is helping to implement federal healthcare reform. Tom has two daughters, ages 8 and 9, who have never been to Boulder but think it would be neat to attend CU. He and his family live in Lexington, Ky.
