Objective
The Flex Option is available for students seeking optimum flexibility in their course curriculum. It allows students to choose courses across different focus areas to best meet their professional goals.听
Coursework
Students pursuing the Flex Option may take whichever courses best meet their professional goals. The general requirements for all Master of Science Professional programs are your only restrictions:
- 颁辞耻谤蝉别飞辞谤办:听30 graduate-level credit-hours must be completed with at least a grade of C in each course.听At least 18 credits must be in Mechanical Engineering (i.e., MCEN courses). Up to 12 credit-hours may听be taken outside the department, inclusive of any transfer credits applied towards the degree. Students听must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA to remain in good standing.
- Professional Development:听Completion of MCEN 5208: Industry Skills with a grade of at least C. This course is offered every spring semester and consists of a series of seminars, workshops, and projects focused on various topics relevant to careers in industry, including project management, engineering ethics, communication skills,听writing skills, budget preparation and management, leadership styles and philosophies, and interview skills.听
